Wasatch Front Farmers Market at Wheeler Farm

Wheeler Farm is absolutely gorgeous any day of the week, but summer Sundays are my favorite time to take a stroll through the grounds. The Farmers Market is full of amazing food trucks, local organic produce, artisanal products, bubbles and animals and bounce houses for kids (and me).

I always seek out organic farmers. Today I met some new ones that I don't typically see at the Downtown Salt Lake market. I picked up some gorgeous heirloom tomatoes and zucchini (my two favorites to buy straight from the farm--I swear they taste so different even than their Whole Foods counterparts).

After picking up my essentials, I couldn't help adding a few organic peaches and sampling every flavor of Cru Kombucha straight from the tap. I finally settled on Blackberry Pear and had absolutely no regrets. I live for these kind of quiet Sundays. Until next week!

The Rose Establishment

Everyone needs a second living room, and the Rose Establishment is exactly that for Salt Lake City. Situated a few blocks past downtown, it's a little quieter than some of my other favorites (except on Saturdays, when the entire street is buzzing with traffic for the Farmers' Market in nearby Pioneer Park).

No matter my mood, hunger level, time of day, the Rose Establishment is the answer to everything. I'll sit and work with a rose tea latte with house-made cashew milk (a must!) mid-morning, or stop in to pick up lunch. On weekends I snag a great table early in the morning and somehow breakfast rolls into a second cup of coffee and suddenly it's time for lunch.

One of my breakfast favorites: coconut and rose chia, chamomile-marinated strawberries, spiced granola, with edible flowers and mint from the rooftop garden.
